Your Guide to Account Setup & First Login

This guide walks you through your first steps on the platform, from creating your account to finding help when you need it.

Getting started with Narratize is designed to be quick and intuitive. You'll be up and running in less than 15 minutes through these five essential steps:

  1. Create Your Account and Log In

  2. Understand the Dashboard Layout

  3. Master Basic Navigation

  4. Locate Help & Support Resources

Step 1: Create Your Account and Log In

Your journey begins with an invitation email from your Narratize Admin. This personalized invitation ensures you're connected to the right organization and team from the start.

What You'll Need

  1. Invitation email (sent from [email protected]). Check your spam or junk folders if you didn't receive this.

  2. 3-4 minutes to complete account setup.

Creating Your Account

  1. Find Your Invitation

    • Check your inbox for an email from support@narratize.com

    • This email contains your unique invitation link

    • 💡 Pro Tip: Invitation links expire after 7 days. Contact your admin for a new one if needed.

  2. Click "Create Account"

    • Open the invitation email and click the prominent "Create Account" button

    • This opens your personalized registration page in your browser

  3. Complete Your Account Information

    • Full Name: How you want to appear to your team

    • Email Address: Pre-filled from your invitation

    • Job Title: Select from options like Product Manager, Engineer, Designer, or Marketing

    • Department: Where you fit in the organization

    • Innovation Focus: Your primary area of work (e.g., new product development, product improvements)

    • Password: Create a secure password (minimum 12 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters)

    • Confirm Password: Re-enter to verify

  4. Complete Setup

    • Click "Create Account" to create your account

    • You'll be automatically logged in

🎉 First Win: You've just created your account! Narratize is already learning about your needs.

⚠️ Troubleshooting: If you're not automatically logged in after your account is created, use the email and password you just created to log in at app.narratize.com.

Step 2: Understand Your Dashboard & Hub Layout

Your dashboard is command central for all things Narratize. Let's explore what you'll see and how it helps you work smarter.

Dashboard Overview

When you log in, you'll see three main areas:

  1. Team Hubs & My Hubs (Top Toggle)

    • Team Hubs is selected by default. Everything you do in a Team Hub is visible to all other members of that Hub, including knowledge uploads and chat activity. Team Hubs are established by your organization's admin.

    • My Hubs is your individual knowledge area. This is your space for private brainstorming and idea development before you’re ready to share with others. You can created unlimited personal hubs.

  2. Product Knowledge Hubs & Groups (Center Stage)

    • Your favorite Hubs display as cards within the Product Knowledge Hub section

    • All other Hubs you have access to can be found within their respective Groups, in the section below. Click the carrot dropdown to view all Hubs within a Group

    • Click on any Hub to start chatting with its knowledge

    • If you are an Admin, you can edit Groups and Hubs from this screen by clicking on the “Edit” icon.

  3. Starting a Chat (Center Stage)

    • Select the knowledge source you want to query from the chat bar

    • Ask a question, make a request, or start a conversation

    • Your chat will open a new screen, where you’ll be able to save chats, pin specific responses and more.

Hub Types

Narratize uses a two-tier system:

  • Individual Workspaces: Your personal innovation space - My Hubs

  • Team Knowledge Hubs: Team collaboration centers - Team Hubs

Step 3: Master Basic Navigation

Efficient navigation helps you maximize Narratize's AI-powered capabilities. Here's your roadmap.

Primary Navigation (Left Sidebar)

The sidebar is your main navigation tool:

  • Hubs: Your command center - think of this as your home base. From the top toggle, you can navigate to:

    • Team Hubs: Your shared team spaces

    • My Hubs: Your personal workspaces

  • Chat: Start a new chat and find recent chats here

  • Research: Access to millions of peer-reviewed literature. Use Narratize to pull summaries and synthesize results from multiple sources at once.

  • Members: Org admins can manage users and permissions
