How to Conduct & Interact with Research

This guide walks you through how to search, analyze, and engage with research using the Narratize platform.

Overview

Working with research in Narratize is meant to be seamless. In a few guided steps, you’ll learn to:

  1. Access the Research Interface

  2. Generate an Evidence Table

  3. Customize Your Evidence Table

  4. Share Your Evidence Table as Knowledge in a Hub

Step 1: Access the Research Interface

To begin interacting with research content inside Narratize, you first go to the Research section.

  1. Log Into Narratize: app.narratize.com

  2. Select 🔍"Research" (Left Sidebar)

    This will open the Research Hub where you can tap into millions of peer-reviewed articles, studies, and reports

Step 2: Generate an Evidence Table

You'll automatically extract and organize key findings from hand-picked articles into a clear, citation-backed table for quick analysis and sharing.

  1. Search the Literature

    • Start your search by entering a topic, question, or keyword to explore relevant academic and grey literature.

    • Here is access to a full list of databases that are currently integrated with Narratize Research.

  2. Choose Articles to Include in Your Evidence Table

    • Check the box in the upper right-hand corner of an article to include it in your evidence table.

      • Scroll down to access more articles in your search.

      • To change how many items appear per page, use the dropdown in the bottom-left corner.

    • 💡Pro Tip: At the bottom of every article preview, you'll find the journal it appears in and a link to the full text.

  3. Select "Generate Evidence Table" (Top Right Corner)

Step 3: Customize Your Evidence Table

Narratize's AI will synthesize your choice of additional analyses into your evidence table to allow you to prioritize the most relevant information in a clear and concise way.

  1. Select Other Analyses to Add to Your Evidence Table (Options Below)

    • Summary

    • Key Findings

    • Simplify

    • Impact Statement

    • Situate

    • Method

    • Context

    • Solution Statement

    • Key Quotes

    • Gaps and Opportunities

  2. Select "Download" (Top Right Corner)

🏆 Congratulations! Narratize has saved you hours researching and synthesizing evidence.

Step 4: Save Your Evidence Table as Knowledge in a Hub

Give your team access to focused, structured research by saving your evidence table as shared knowledge—making key insights easy to find, understand, and reuse.

  1. Select 🏠"Hubs" (Left Sidebar)

    Note: soon, you'll be able to save an evidence table directly into your Product Knowledge Hubs.

  2. Choose a Hub to Store Your Evidence Table as Knowledge

    You can select a Hub from either your "Favorite Hubs" or the "All Groups and Hubs" section.

  3. Open the 🧠"Knowledge" Panel (Right Sidebar)

  4. Select "Upload Files"

    • Here you can choose the evidence table from your computer or connect to your Google Drive.

    • Once uploaded, Narratize will ensure the document is AI-ready. When it is complete, a green "Review" button will appear.

  5. Review Metadata by Selecting "Review" (Green Button)

    You now have the option to edit and approve the Metadata associated with your Evidence Table.

  6. "Save" Your Evidence Table and Metadata as Hub Knowledge (Bottom Right)

  • Ask complex research questions and generate detailed comparisons

  • Conduct critical analysis with ease

  • Request tailored content creation from Narratize based on your research

  • Leverage Narratize as it transforms synthesized findings into consumer-ready articles

  • Edit, add insights, and download articles as PDFs in the text editor

  • Save articles directly to your hub to enhance product intelligence


💡Tips and Best Practices

  • Regularly update your evidence tables with new findings

  • Use metadata editing to improve searchability within your hubs

  • Leverage the “Simplify” and “Impact Statement” analyses to make insights more actionable

  • Encourage teammates to add comments and insights directly in the hub.
